Paid for itself over and over again
I have had a Norton Multi Oilstone system for 35 years and have sharpen hundreds of knives with this set of stones. My father thought I was foolish to spend that much money on something he was convinced I would never use. It has paid for itself many times over. Within my family I am something of a legend in that with these stones that I can produce the sharpest edges that anyone has ever experienced. For years I stayed in trouble with my wife because I would demonstrate a knife's sharpness by shaving the hair off my arm. These stones have not only been useful, they have in part defined who I am.

Best Ever
I cut meat in a grocery store for years and this was what we used. To make a nice cut of meat the knife needs to be sharp and this stone is the ultimate sharpener. The oil bath makes it easy and also stable when using. Using a good quality knife a knife can be sharp enough to shave with.
