As Seen In The Magazines !

As with most Outdoor Edge products, the edge was hair popping sharp out of the box. Because they are still fairly new, my blade says "2014 First Production Run". Sweet. The sheath is of decent quality as well. Accidentally dropped on the floor and blade penetrated through the entire carpet under its own weight. I use it as a home defense tool because of its effective penetrating, slashing, and good looking blade abilities.

Great blade for the money, very well built and nice sheath. Would be a descent blade for self defense as well.

Cons: Handle Material

Strong and comfortable jungle tool.

This is a good product, slashing through 1 1/2 " bamboo and foliage easily in 1 stroke and cutting 2" bamboo with 1-3 strokes. Would cut thicker bamboo. Edge still OK. The only thing I didn't like was the awful brown handle colour - that's why it only got 5 stars. However the handle is very comfortable. The point makes this tool into a dangerous weapon. The sheath is superb. Could be slightly heavier - a bit picky perhaps.

Multi-Purpose Blade

I own a Schrade Bolo, Gerber Kukri, Kershaw Camp 12 Parang, etc. , and this Outdoor Edge Brush Demon has better balance and feel wielding it than any of my other machetes. It feels more like a long knife than a short machete. 65mn steel should hold up well, came sharp out of box. The sheath is decent, low or high belt carry. The only reason 4 stars is because the Outdoor Edge Logo is glued to cutout in handle, when I received it, the logo was barely holding to handle, pulled right off easily. You will have to re-glue the rubber logo back on if like mine. Not a good impression of quality when your company name logo falls off of products. Oh yeah, Knifecenter is awesome!!
