Best 500 lumen pocket/EDC light

This flashlight is tiny for what it does. It might be the smallest 500 lumen flashlight today, but I'm no expert, just like well made tech like this. Excellent build quality, as other reviews have mentioned. One extremely cool feature others did not mention is that the butt of the light is magnetic, so you can stick it to any ferrous metal and you have a lamp. The size is so small that you can unobtrusively carry it in your pocket, which means there's a better chance you'll have a light when you really need one. I own a number of good flashlights and would gladly recommend everyone get one of these.

Small and powerful

Great light! So small but huge light output. I belive there are 4 light settings from low setting they call moonlight to a retna searing 500 lumins on high setting.

Excellent light for the price

Bought this after I lost my Fenix that was a similar size/design. First off, this light is smaller than it appears. MUCH smaller. Barely larger than its 123 battery. Quality of build is excellent. Great "feel" to the light. Cycling through most of the options, except for the strobe, is pretty easy. The light range is huge, and it's too bad that there isn't an infinitely variable choice to it. There's a big jump from moonlight to low. Too bad there's nothing in between. I bought the Fenix as a combination light/defensive tool to take to Europe. It went with me three times. Knives and flashlights with crenelated edges will get confiscated, and you'll end up in court. A small light like this passes muster. An easy access strobe is an innocuous defensive feature. On my Fenix, access to the strobe was very direct. On this one...it's...not. You have to turn on the light, and then rapidly push the button three times without accidentally turning the light off. Good luck with that. A double button push takes you to 500 lumens, and that's a LOT, but the distracting/disruptive nature of the strobe is a marvelous option in places where you might want it quickly and unobtrusively. This light doesn't do that. However, in all other aspects, it's an excellent value, well worth what I paid for it. Notwithstanding the limitation I described, whenever I travel this light will go with me.
