Pros: Handle Material, Sheath/Scabbard, Weight
Cons: Blade Sharpness

Decent knife, a bit pricy

I haven't used this in the wilderness yet (too cold) but I've chopped and sliced some wood and trash around the house. It's a pretty good 420HC knife with a nice Micarta handle, but a little overpriced. Very hard to recommend this over a Morakniv... unless you simply like Ontario's fixed blades, as I do. I just like 'em. The steel itself is exactly what you'd expect, and the knife barely had an edge out of the box. It sharpens up very well: the big spearpoint blade is easy to angle and the steel is soft, it only took 5 minutes to slice paper. So this is a good option for messy field work, in fact in spring I will probably take this with me to some bog somewhere. It's not a marine knife but it seems like it'll do ok with mud, damp wood, etc. The handle is both nice and comfortable. I like the sheath too, it's a bit cheap but it works, and I prefer cheap leather to fancy Kydex. This is a good knife once it's sharpened. Just wait for a sale.
