GREAT KNIFE!!!

The knife came with a very sharp, well-centered blade. The lockup is solid and there's no blade play. This is an EDC knife that handles a number of different tasks quite well. It's also an excellent value for money.

RAT2 S35VN

I was looking to upgrade my EDC to a better grade of steel, something that would hold an edge longer than my 8cr13 and D2 knives. I was working this week on clearing some tough old vines from a chain-link fence this week, and the S35VN steel performed well. However, I find this knife difficult to open. The thumb-studs are maybe a tad too far forward to give me the leverage I need. I worked the blade a few hundred times, and gave it a good dose of silicone dry-lube, but still having trouble flipping it open. A frame-lock is not my favorite lock method, but I know how to work it, no big deal; and this one is maybe better engineered than many. All in all, it's a good knife, but it's not quite a one-hand-operation. Hoping I don't have to disassemble & polish to get it open easily.

Disappointed

Have the Rat 1 and love the action and feel. Not so much this one. It feels good in the hand, but the detent is way stiffer than the Rat 1. The blade is slightly off center and no amount of adjustment will fix it. It also came way duller than the $30 knife I just bought. Just not good. Maybe I got a lemon, but I’d rather have my money back. As it arrived, it’s only worth half what they are charging. Th steel is the only reason to buy thi knife.
