New Sheath for an Old Knife
I found and purchased an original Vietnam era Conetta MKII fighting knife in mint condition but unfortunately it had no sheath. This sheath from Ontario looked nearly identical in the advertisement pictures to the original so I bought it. The quality is excellent, real leather with the exact same number of rivets and style sewing with lanyard hole as the original. I wish I had that original sheath but this one is so close only an expert could tell the difference. The only difference I can see is that the color of the stitching is black in the new one and brown in the original and the back side of the leather is natural colored brown on the original and black in this new one. I was so pleased to find this sheath, nearly identical in every way to match my fifty plus year old war souvenir. Rather than a "reproduction" I would call this an example of a product that is so good that it is still being produced, unchanged, after 50 years! This made my day! Thanks Ontario and Knife Center.
