Honestly I ordered this ADK series fixed blade because I have property in the Adirondack’s and have been going into those mountains for my whole life.....so I had to have a knife that said ADK on it. It arrived today and I have begun to do the test sort of things to it like all my knives get..surprise, I really like how it feels in my hand, the blade is super slicey and this could rank with my esee 4 as far a general usefulness. What I wont know for some time is how well I either like or dislike the 420 steel, I’m sort of a 1095 on fixed blades guy, but we’ll see as the time goes on. The leather sheath is classic and I’m happy with it however I do prefer to carry my 4” fixed knives IWB and this sheath wont really do that so I will shop for an aftermarket kydex sheath that will allow for IWB. Have no doubt however that when I’m doing my Adirondack stuff this knife will feel right at home!
