Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Handle Material
Cons: Lock Ease of Use
Good on paper
This knife is nice on paper, but it has some flaws. The lock bar on the one I got is super tight making it hard, even painful to close. I was able to loosen the tension a tiny bit by removing the overtravel arrestor and pushing the frame lock out, but it's still too tight. The knife was badly off center out of the box from the pivot being too tight when it arrived. I tried to loosen the pivot only to find that the pivot rod is not secured in any way (not "D" shaped), making the whole pivot assembly rotate instead of loosening. I managed to adjust the pivot screw by side loading on the blade, but it was a struggle. Centering is better. I can see light between the blade and titanium side now. The detent is nice & strong, though it doesn't have a snappy deployment. Ergos are hit & miss. In the hand the micarta feels wonderful, but the jimping on top of the blade is sharp & I can definitely feel the unrounded top of the clip. I'd file the jimping smoother and sand the end of the clip, but that would ruin the dark finish there. No idea about the quality of the internals, since the unsecured pivot makes the knife so hard to take apart and service. Overall, I'd pass on this one. There are better knives for this price, and less.
