Cons: Finish

Very good fixed blade knife (if bought on sale)

I gave it a 5 for the sale price but it might be 4/5 at MSRP. The only knock is cosmetic: the finish is a little weak and seems to be wearing with use. Really not a big deal. The metal seems to dry out pretty quickly, maybe I should just wax it. Regardless this is a cool-looking knife without being ostentatious. The sheath seems sturdy to me, but I do see people complaining about it falling apart. This is marketed as a field dressing knife but I don't hunt, I've use this for EDC in an urban environment the last few weeks. It sharpens well and the blade is suited for detailed work, e.g. cutting delicate shapes in cardboard, slicing specific ropes, the point is good for digging things out, and so on. I like the handle quite a bit: it is comfortable and gets out of your way, so you can reinforce the blade at the tang with your finger, as intended. The knife was a bit dull when I got it but I didn't spend much time getting it into shape. I've used it a fair bit now and haven't had to resharpen... probably should at some point, but it's going strong. This is a useful knife for various knife things. I'm glad I got this instead of the RAT-3 utility knife, but I have a separate serrated blade.
