Nice 1095 made in USA

Great knife 1095 american made can't beat this knife for heavy duty use recommended for military use and outdoor camping etc. I keep mine in my saddle bags on my motorcycle when going on a long trip

Chunky time knife

Batons like crazy and just feels sturdy. Not too big, not too small, heavy but not cumbersome. The finish wears off after use but this is no great concern, fit and finish is ok but this isn't intended as a museum piece. Sharpens easily, not particularly nimble or a good slicer but that's not the purpose. If I had to select a sub- $100 american made knife this is what I'd pick if I had to live with one tool for the remainder of my days.

Ontario RAT-5

I own this RAT-5. It's very well built using quality materials. I'd put this knife 1 (small) notch below an ESEE of the same size but at 35%off at The Knife Center I wouldn't hesitate. Ps. The sheath isn't great.
