More than I expected
This is my second OKC fixed blade. My first is a RTAK II so this is a very different knife. The SP15 LSA is shaped more like a Fairbairn–Sykes fighting knife than I expected. The handle is long and slender, squared toward the blade becoming more round nearer the pommel, something that doesn't show well in photos. The rubberized handle feels good and provides grip, the rings provide a way for water to channel out of your hand helping to retain that grip when wet. The pommel butt-end cap is very solid, if it's not actually full tang ( I think it is) it's connected in such a way so there is no movement in relation to the blade. The short guards are angled so they work well for your thumb to control the blade. The guards are also sturdy and will keep your hand from slipping forward but aren't large or solid enough to be used to catch an opponents knife. The blade has a good thickness and length but with both sides either sharpened or tapered the core width of the blade only runs 4 3/4 of an inch, it's not a chopper. The back spine has chisel sharpened serrations, they are wide and out of the box not super sharp but serviceable. the blade edge is long and graceful with lots of belly. It came sharp, I could shave with it but not well, like the serrations serviceable but in need of a touch up. The spine side near the tips is a swedge not a sharpened edge. I've read several places people suggesting you could sharpen it and you could but the angle would need to be high or you'd need to add a primary bevel then a secondary as the swedge is almost a millimeter thick.
