bought this a few months ago and all i can say is wow! i have owned benchmades, kershaws, and spydercos but i've never had a shaper knife out of the box. just a little bulky but when you can slice through bottles no problem the weight issue seems to dissolve.

Good blade

Sharp edge , good fit and locks up tight on opening. Very good knife for the price. I was surprised at the quality for the price I paid for it.

Solid but not a keeper

I was looking for a hard use knife for general camping/outdoor use that I didn't have to put a lot of investment in. This knife has great ergonomics and has solid lockup -- very comfortable in the hand with recessed screws. Blade came very sharp and well ground. Initial impression of the black blade though is it looks cheap with gloss black paint. You can't really tell from the pictures but i would probably have gone with the unpainted blade. Handle material is tough plastic -- G-10 or a micarta would have been stellar at this price. Not listed in the description at the time of this review but made in Taiwan if it matters to ya. I give it four stars for design but knock it back for the cheapy mall ninja blade finish.
