I ordered this knife when it was on super dooper sale. Usually when that happens you don't expect much but what a great little knife! If you wear jeans every day this is an excellent EDC knife (it might be a little big or heavy if you wear slacks?) I would buy this again, hell, I might just buy it again anyway so I can have a different color. I have seen people say that the scales are not great, I think they are fine. Looking forward to carrying it around for a while. Oh yeah, I'm going to retire my Spyderco again
Ontario RAT Model 1 Folding Knife 3.6" Satin Plain Blade, OD Green Nylon Handles
This is a good knife especially for the price. It was even cheaper when I ordered it. It's very sharp and sturdy. I would recommend this knife to anyone who wants a steal. Knife Center Rules!

this is a great folding knife under 40$ i love it and i bought it to use as an everything knife and its perfect for it. not to big to carry around and big enough to get the job done. i love it quality is very good for the price. dont worry about where its made. alot of knives made in taiwan are still good just dont buy chinese knives.
Ontario RAT Model 1 Folding Knife 3.6" Satin Plain Blade, OD Green Nylon Handles
I'm a big fan of the Ontario RAT series knives. Sharp out of the box, easy to grip and handle, AUS8 steel easy to sharpen and holds edge, clips to pocket nicely, just the right weight and size. I highly recommend this series of knives to anyone looking for a great EDC knife and doesn't want to spend a ton of $$. Yes, it's made in Taiwan but you won't care once you've lived with it for a short period.

This is a great EDC knife. It never fails me. Stays sharp for a good long while, easy to sharpen. Handle has a nice feel and the price is right! Can't ask for more. Highly recommended. Shipping was very quick and arrived earlier than expected and in excellent condition.
Ontario RAT Model 1 Folding Knife 3.6" Satin Plain Blade, OD Green Nylon Handles
Excellent knife for the outdoors but a little big for around town. Great lock up, clip can be mounted on either side at either end and sits deep in-pocket, the handle provides a natural grip, the blade is sharp straight out of the box, and overall quality is excellent. Expect to pay three or four times as much for a comparable knife.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Weight, Handle Material
Excellent budget knife
I prefer the d2 version, but nothing wrong with the aus8 version, they are a tad heavy, but fill the hand well. Edge will hold fine for edc use. Have bought quite a few of these and all have been very good with fit and finish, action and lock up and they flick open nicely, good quality bronze washers too and have been very consistent with this, have had a couple less steller but still good. NO it is not a Benchmade of which I have around a 100 Benchmades. A comparable size Benchmade will set you back a minimum of about $135 give or take for a griptilian (great knife) they are not in the same category. As long as your not expecting the edge to last like a premium or super steel edge will, you will not be disappointed with a rat model 1 or model 2.

Great EDC knife
Longer than most pocket knives but still small enough to be a good EDC knife and goes head to head with the Spider Co. Tenatous.

Great for price
Best knife from Taiwan I have ever owned. Not a fan of liner locks, but lock up is respectable. Can't hold a candle to my benchmades but worlds better then hardware store knives. Won't feel bad use and abusing it for the price. Needs a deep carry clip.
