I had been looking at different knives with micarta and titanium frame lock. Also, I needed this type of edge geometry. While there is a compromise in the blade material, it was well centered in the frame, I will see how the edge holds up. My expectations are low for that, but I was blown away with the overall quality otherwise. Nice flipping action, well tuned frame lock, and ergonomics are usually reserved for higher price point knives.
Ontario Besra Flipper Knife 3" Black PVD Stonewash Cleaver Blade, Linen Micarta and Titanium Handles
Cons: Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type, Overall Quality
Feels like a QSP Penguin Upgrade
The overall item quality feels a bit lacking for a titanium build. The micarta scale has a nice texture and pocket slide. Unfortunately, mine has a bad lockup and if I hadn’t take a set of vice grips to it and applied enough counter pressure, it surely would have bit me good. 5/10 overall
