16" Barrel Adaptability

This is an incredible bayonet. Very tough construction, not over advertised. To confirm, for AR use, your AR must have a Government Contour barrel and A2 bayonet lug. If you do not have the Gov. Cont. barrel, it will not fit no matter what length barrel is on your rifle. To confirm whether you own a GC barrel. A GC barrel has a taper and notch aprox 4" after the A2 bayonet lug, towards the flash hidder. The bayonet utilizes the taper to seat properly when installed on the barrel, hence the "must have".

If you are in the market for a top quality bayonet to accessorize your AR then this is it or if you want something quiet to stick between the seats of your car in case the need should arise to stab some lowlife that wants to take what is yours or if you need to open a 55 gallon drum the hard way this knife will do it. This is not a camp knife it is a bayonet the blade is very thick the edge is very broad so it is not much of a slicer but it will split kindling fairly efficiently. I've had mine around 10 years and when I go to the bush it is usually hanging on the side of my ruck, it is my beater because it can take it.

Rugged

Rugged. Thick blade. Easy to use and fairly heavy duty wire cutter. A definite go-to knife. Grateful that knifecenter.com offered it a a substanially discounted sale price. That price made it possible to make the purchase.

Ontario M9 bayonet

Mil-spec rifle bayonet fits Mossberg 590A1. Sturdy construction. Finish matches Parkerized gun barrel. Functional scabbard for storage/wearing. It's a little heavy but has to be.

IMPRESSIVE!

Received from my kids for Christmas, gave it a quick oil wipe and affixed it to my Colt AR15A4, couldn’t be more pleased. I don’t hunt and my military days are far behind me, but there’s no doubt that the M9 would be capable of serving in any of these arduous roles. -Fits tightly on the lug with no movement -Sharp, straight and robust blade -Ideal weight, excellent balance and feels comfortable in the hand -Sheath is rugged and multi functional Overall, feels like a no-joke, hard use tool. Was very pleased to see that my kids purchased this from Knifecenter at a great price, with quick shipping, from a company that I’ve personally done business with in the past.

Great bayonet, doesn’t fit my RRA Tactical Operator II.

Great bayonet in every way. It does not fit my LAR 15, RRA, Operator II, Tactical rifle. I’ll keep it anyway for general use.

US made bayonet is definitely worth 10,795 US cents

I use my bayonets at the campground for cutting and this one is tough and big enough to handle trimming branches off firewood logs. It's well made, has quality construction and finish. It's wider and thicker than my old M7 bayonet and comes with a serrated edge good for wood and cardboard cutting and even has a wire cutter capability using the scabbard. I'm very pleased with this US made bayonet and highly recommend it.

Quality bayonet

Purchased as a general utility knife. I own several AR-15's. It should be noted that this bayonet will fit on 20" and 14.5" AR-15 rifles but NOT 16" barrels. Also, it fits nicely on a Mossberg 590. Blade was adequately sharp and took a nice edge. The bayonet is tough and the sheath seems strong.

Great Service

I will not dwell on the quality of this knife as many others have already stated what a great knife this is - except to say one thing: A previous reviewer stated that this bayonet will NOT of on a 16" AR-15 barrel. This is incorrect as it fits perfectly on mine. What I am most pleased about is the service from KnifeCenter. This is the 4th time I tried to order this. The first 3 times from other retailers. Each time, they sat on the order for 5 days without shipping and no contact with me and I would become disgusted & cancel the order. At KnifeCenter, I placed the order at 11:30 and within 5 hours I had a tracking number & it was AT UPS that same day. I can't ask for any better service! Thanks KCI!

How else can you make the green grass grow? Best AR15 Accessory ever! Don't use this for anything other than to pierce the heart of your enemies. It's solely a one purpose knife and you will need to sharpen it out of the box. If you are using this for bushcraft or as a camp knife don't buy this knife.

At last i have the bayonet. The principal features and best is: the weight ,is comfortable and easy to handle , the blade is really sharp and the Sheath with the quickly release makes of this bayonet an unmistakable in the collection.

Good knife!

Athough I have never had to "fix bayonets", and fight off an enemy attack. My bayonet has been a very useful tool. I have used the wire cutters, and used it for many other things. I bought this black one so i would have a backup.

Great Quality Bayonet

My only complaint, it comes out of the box too dull to cut butter. I know most of them come that way, but it is still an annoyance. This blade takes a great edge though. Fantastic looking on the end of my ar.
