Very good

I like the addition of serrations to the striker. One of these should be in everyone's' car, purse, pack, home, and anywhere else you take with you when you go out. Cheap insurance for anywhere you go. Unless you live somewhere like New York and never leave the city and millions of people.

Amazing Fire Starter

Amazing fire starter in a compact package. Once you remove the striker from the chain and scour off the outer coating on the steel - you're totally in business! Throws out a shower of sparks that once in contact with the Magnesium, lights up at once. It's difficult to remove Magnesium from the bar with the striker, takes quite a bit of effort, but it does give you a large block to work with so this will be my back up fire kit for years to come. Awesome product, recommend it to all.

useless striker

striker sucks, totally cannot use, i use other the shave the bar... a little hard to shave but reliable product

okay for the price

The magnesium is such a pain to shave, but nice to have if you really need it. Although, you might be better off buying a larger fire rod for around the same price.
