Short, narrow, light, but waterproof
Unfortunately, I waited a year before unpacking my bivvi bag. I was lucky that I didn’t wait until I was out in the woods to try it. I discovered the practical length on the bag that I received was only about 5’4” barely enough to cover my shoulders although I have seen descriptions where the bag listed as 90” in height. The bag is also very narrow. I was able to fit in to it with my Hygger light sleeping bag but not a bag liner which would have given me additional warmth. There is also a flap that’s supposed to come over your head but the bag is already so short that it would only serve as protection between my head and the ground. I’m not very heavy. The bag would be adequate for someone about 5’4”Fortunately, I was planning to combine the bivvi bag with a light pyramid tent. The major advantages of the bag are that it’s waterproof. The bag is also so light that I plan to use it as a backpack liner so that it isn’t taking up any more space than necessary in my pack.
