Impressed

This is my third Petrified Fish. I have a collection of knives about 100 deep, and this is truly one that punches way above its weight class. I wouldn't put it on par with my Viper Turns, but it has a far more premium feel than probably 85% of my folders and half the price. Design-wise, I would probably like to see a nicer pocket clip and a lanyard point. Other than that, I would make no changes. The clip is fine, but just feels like it detracts a bit from the beauty and refinement of the rest of the knife. The blade is SHARP, with a very refined edge. The shape of the blade is slicey, pointy, and has a good belly. The handles are great. The bronze titanium looks very much like it has a slight patina like true bronze, the wood is nicely finished, has great grain, and feels very comfortable in hand. As I said, at the beginning, this is my third PF. My blue Micarta Beluga is awesome, the Patte is very disappointing (slick in hand and opens on its own i, and the Hourglass punches way above its class. I will buy another Hourglass, hopefully in the burl wood.

My first Petrified Fish

Just received a PE hourglass with gull wood. Very impressed with the action and attention to detail. This knife is very capable for skinning. Reminds me of my old Marbles fix blade. I would highly recommend this knife.
