The Best I Have Used
I keep several of these around-especially the red one. I have navigated through the woods with a red one in total darkness, I always have one on my keychain and one on the zipper of my motorcycle jacket. What makes the Photon II the best is an actual dip switch for on and off, and they run forever. I have had many other brands and they all failed eventually. Also, by having a physical switch-it doesn't come on by accident-especially when pulling surveillance and give away your position. I even have one hanging in my truck to keep my night vision if I need to look for something. I was assigned a mission once to see how far I could penetrate a compound at night-through the woods and around construction, and past three mobile patrol units. I took my Photon II, cupped it in my hand and navigated in total darkness w/o being seen. So I guess you could say I truly love this product. I probably own about 10 of them now-some red and a few in white. I also made sure my mother and my fiance have a red and white one each with their key rings, just as they have a revolver,pepper spray and a knife in their cars for security too. The Photon II has also come in handy for those emergency battery changes on night vision scopes and making sure that tree branch you just tripped over isn't Jake ther Snake!
