Cons: Blade Material, Ease of Opening
After a mod, now a favorite
I had to file down the nub on linerlock in order to get the deployment I wanted. There is an indent on the tang that engages the nub on the liner when the blade is closed. The tolerance is too tight and it is one of the hardest knives to open. Once this was addressed the Variant saw a lot of carry time. I like the rise on the rear handle and works well with the flat belly blade. Full length frame and g10 make for a sturdy handle. The disengagement is reliable and I have no worries about compressing the liner lock as a right hander.
