ESEE 3 MIL

Blade is thinner than I thought. Came razor sharp as all my other ESEEs. They are pricey, but their value is incredible. Best knives+warranty in that price range. The sheath is a bit of a b*tch - it holds the knife really good. Almost too good to get it out fast. But it will break in a bit. If you want to use it for military or if you want to mount it on a vest - get the MOLLE back!!

The perfect knife

I have never owned an ESEE before. I'm hooked for life. I purchased this to use in my go bag that rides in my truck, and for general use. This knife has the sharpest edge of any knife I've ever owned. The craftmanship and quality are superb. The handles line up nice and even, the pommel will do it's job if need be. Just to try it out, I baton-ed some small wood in the backyard. The knife is a little small for that, but very capable. It is a great "up close and personal" and emergency knife, which is exactly why I bought it. The sheathing options are incredibly versatile. The few extra dollars for this over the standard ESEE-3 are very worth it in my opinion. Now I'm just trying to decide which one to get next, the 5 or 6!

Brilliant Little Blade

While the name 'Esee' sounds a little like a teletubby, they make pretty bada-- knives. Finish is great, shaving-sharp out of the box, grip is small, but comfortable, and the sheath is pretty nice too. The gimping feels great, and the groove in front of the handle allows you to choke up on the blade for some finer cutting tasks (perhaps, say, in dressing the puma you killed with your bare hands). Overall, really love the way it feels and can't wait to put some 'miles' on it.

perfect edc fixed blade

This is my new EDC fixed blade. Razor sharp, great feel, and nice pommel. I think the blade could be a bit thicker, although at the sacrifice of weight. I live in TX where it's hot and humid, so I regularly use TUF-Glide on it. No problems so far.

ESEE knife

This is a great everyday knife. As usual I have tested it. Threw it in mud, sand, saltwater for 24 hours, run over it with a car, threw it on hard wood, and more. It survived my test. Very dependable knife.
