Good solid knife

This is a good solid knife. I'd like to see them make them with a different finish though. The epoxy paint. or what ever they use isn't the best and can't be used to strike a spark rod

Awesome, great quality

These knifes are way underpriced for the quality, Love mine so much I bought a RC6. Takes a little more care than a stainless steel knife but if you take care of it this knife will last forever!!!

Perfect

I was looking for a fixed blade knife with about a 4-inch blade that could be used for self-defense, survival, and combat. This knife is exactly what I was looking for. The handle is very comfortable( but I do have smaller hands), the blade came very sharp, the fit and finish was and is excellent, and the sheath is great. You really couldn't ask for a better all around fixed blade.

ESEE 4P DT

This is my 3rd ESEE knife purchase. Just like the other 2 it is a quality knife. Light weight, nimble and very sharp. You can’t go wrong with ESEE.

perfect

Great survival/camp knife. Feels great in your hand... "handles" well. Sheath is awesome... I use paracord to adhere it to my regular leather belt. Profile of blade is perfect for a survival knife, it has just the right amount of weight, but would not be uncomfortable to carry all day. I think this is the most practical size for a camp knife too. Another great RC knife!

Excellent knife for work.

Bought the ESEE 4 primarily for work. Can't say how much I am satisfied with my choice! My most cutting materials are fiber glass and cardboard. The knife is holding the edge sharp very long. I like the steel and design. Thinking now to buy few more for presents.

Rat RC4

I purchased this knife as a gift for a friend. I now wish I had ordered one for myself. This thing is beautiful, perfect size, great handles, totally great design. I have many knives, but the Rat Cutlery knives are really in a class by themselves. I plan to add several to my collection. Wish I had discovered them sooner. For the money, they are the best .

Stout blade

My example came with an extremely sharp blade. The grip is a little thin, I would prefer a thicker one. But, it is not going back, it is one good looking knife. From the little I have gotten to use it, I would buy another in a heartbeat. This is the best size for an all round blade, not too big for hunting and not too small for camp chores or setting up a survival shelter.

Rust-monster

I love the look and feel of this knife and, although I haven't had an opportunity to really go thrash it around, I know that it'll hold up and have an axe-like capability. Here's the thing: it sat in my room in a non-humid environment well oiled and the edge rusted up like an old nail quickly. That is ridiculous! You shouldn't have to oil a knife once a week if it's not used just to keep it from deteriorating. I understand that 1095 is tough, easy to sharpen, steel, but rust resistance is a valuable quality as well and I'd prefer this knife a lot more if it were made with, at the least, a slightly more rust resistant steel that I could trust when out in the field for days on end without oil to maintain it constantly. It is heavy, but the weight is good for chopping. The sheath and handle are excellent. The price is high for this steel. It is a good knife, it's just the ease of corrosion that is an issue. Razor sharp out of box. RAT knives has excellent customer service.

Can be sharpend easly, shaving sharp. The cutout to choke up on the blade was to small for my pointfinger had to file it out to the blade . The paint came off the sheeth screws as soon as a got it at least there are brass. Over all thick hunk off metal as thick as my bk7 but the size of my surefire echo . Not bad for the price.

Hmm, value, fit vs value

The handle is just too short, simple as that, otherwise a fine knife at that price point, or at least what KCI charges. If your mits are small to smallish perfect, get two. For hammer hands like me, it get lost and needs another 1.5 inches of handle legnth. This is a give away, but a good one. Ladies likey.
