Avispa Folding Knife 3.5" Stonewashed D2 Blade, Olive Drab FRN.

The Wasp is an excellent Knife. The size of this knife is large which fits my 2x hands well. The thumb studs are adequate for opening and the blade opens faster the more you use it. Break in is fairly short. Sharp out of the box with the D2 steel. Comfortable to hold and grip. This thing is a beast, very well built. ESEE design is great. It does have some weight, but I doubt that will bother anyone who carries it. You are not going to break this knife, but I bet you could break a car window with it! Closed of course. I buy a lot of knifes and this one has me hooked, I love it.

Get Several!!

I am a Disabled Veteran in a wheelchair, yet S**t has to be done. This Avispa has Replaced ALL my EDC Blades, it is so light, so Fast Opening, and cut's like Nothing I've seen before, it IS thin... And that means I can put it in places on my body and not worry about these VA rent-a- cops giving me Crap! If I had the money I'd already have Two more for backups, AND in D2? For this price you will not be disappointed.

Great work EDC!

The ESEE Avispa in D2 has been my daily work knife for over a year now. I have beaten it with a 3lb. hammer, pried staples, nails and thin metal wire, cut through drywall and wood, and a plethora of other tasks on the job site. It started to rust a little, so I cleaned it up with WD40. The rust was removed and the action became very smooth. The thumb studs fell out, but that does not bother me. It has been a wonderful daily EDC knife.

Stained

I took my son out last weekend and decided to have some beers in front of the fire. I cut only two lemons (for the beers) and less than one hour later when I grabbed back the knife to clean it and put it back in my backpack it was stained. I have tried all I know to remove the stain, but it is still there. It's a total shame. It was the first time I used this D2 stone washed knife. I am pretty sure I don't want to buy this type of blade anymore.
