Back to basics

I like the compact and simple design, great everyday carry, thin blade that slices food or cut tape or boxes, and whittle, it's a true edc. Good D2 steel, locked when blade extends,and great clip to hang inside your pocket, various colors to choose from and very affordable. You have to use both hands titi open which gives an old vibe to the knife. If you don't have one, get it.

Small tradtional small pocket with liner lock

Made by Esse so I purchased on whim Very inexpensive. Fits in jeans watch and that’s where it stay. Liner lock very accessible. Reasonably sharp.

Great price for D2, $20 quality

I would include photos if I could, but first impressions: The Good: D2 for @20! Nice size and weight. Ball bearing pivot for $20! The nail nick is a weird choice but the knife opens easily. The blade has a slight protrusion that can, with great dexterity and a little finesse be used. As a front flipper if you want. I think had they enlarged this just a little, it would’ve been a perfect front flipper. I like the fact that the lock is enlarged. Yes, it makes the knife look a little odd but it’s functional and easy to use. The Bad: The Micarta isn’t great. The fastener screw holes aren’t very clean. The pocket clip is a good/bad contraption. It’s beefy and allows for relatively deep carry and it’s reversible but it would’ve been better as a wire clip. The Ugly: The Micarta scales are poorly cut. They fit and aren’t protruding anywhere but the edge beveling is sloppy. The knife I got came furred around the edges with a black line (likely from being packaged). It felt a little used. Bottom line: If you don’t want a sexy knife this is a very functional tool. I will keep it in my EDC collection for now. The Excellent: Knife Center are great to deal with when you have issues or questions. Their professional and friendly prompt replies to my inquiry about the Micarta convinced me to stick with them for future purchases. I didn’t receive a mindless response. Janie (the agent who responded to my email) asked for pictures and had them inspected by Subject Matter Expert and that is customer service at its best. If I can convince my wife that I *need* more knives, I will be shopping with Knife Center again.

It’s fine

Good little knife for the price but it feels like it’s trying to be something else. I kept wanting it to be one hand opening or decide that it was slip joint. It was never either of those things. But its fine and the price makes it a great little first blade or something like that.

fast shipping, great price, great materials, poor fit and finish

I picked up an ESEE churp for $20. I intend to use it as a small EDC/carver, it works well enough for me after some minor adjustment. My knife came with a faulty liner lock, I was able to close it with minimal pressure from the open position. For 20 bucks i wouldn't normally expect much from a knife, but i think that a lock back knife should lock, especially from ESEE. I spent maybe 20 minutes, disassembling, and filing .005 from the length of the liner lock, I now have a fantastic little knife.
