Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Overall Quality
Cons: Handle Feel, Handle Material
Good
I bought this from KC after I saw a review on youtube. I actually wanted to give it 3.5 starts because it is a nice knife, worth every bit of 30 bucks, but it can be improved. I paid a little extra for the OD green and glad I did, the digital Camo looks a little cheap. First what I like, the knife has great action! easy to flip open and has a very nice liner lock. Do not get the black blade, it is a cheap paint that will come off and the stainless is a great worn look. I got the stainless and I am happy with the look and now it will last. It also is the perfect size for EDC. It also is very tight, no play and you can tell it is not the crap you get for 7 bucks at the hardware store, this knife is well made. It is substancial but yet it is light due to the hollow back. For the money it is great, but it is not a spyderco. Pay the extra money and get the Delica4, you wont regret it. Cons, the handle material is slippery, the stainless side is actually more grippy then the plastic side. The blade is not very substantial and has a more rounded edge then needed for a puncturing or thrusting move. Most of my knives are vg10, which is so good it is scary, so when I get another knife I compare it to this standard. The knife is not very sharp out of the box, if it was I probably would have given it 4 stars. I know I can sharpen it, but the 5 spyderco's I have came sharp enough to do open heart surgery on someone w/o them even knowing it, so I have come to expect this in other knife purchases and it seams to be rare. These might just get 5 stars by me if they come out with a full serrated blade. In fact, if they make one I will commit to buy one, but unless they make that I don't think I would buy another. In conclusion, it is a nice little knife and the one area it exceeds the Delica 4 is that is a little less conspicuous in the pocket, well I always get the full serrated stainless spyderco's so they are a little more heavy. A fine example of a EDC, but if you were in a knife fight with a delica 4, you would loose.
