I feel bad for the first reviewer because of all the problems he claims to have had with his Zancudo. I purchased mine about a year ago and although not my daily carry knife on a regular basis when I have used it as my EDC I have not experienced any problems with it what so ever. The D2 holds a great edge, the laminate CF scale looks great, no blade movement in any direction when open, perfectly centered when closed, and with a flick of the wrist it snaps open and locks up tight. Mine is very easy to open and close with one hand. The first reviewer must have got a bad one some how. Maybe the ESEE QC Inspector let a bad one slip by. The previous reviewer should have just returned the knife to Knife Center and they would have gladly sent him a replacement knife I’m sure.

I have to agree with jac review 100%, I have 2carbon and 2 frn versions, cause I am a knife knut. I have a extensive collection mostly upper and high end production, but I do value the inexpensive knives(about 30% of collection) for my rough use and well I like knives. I normally carry 2 sometime 3 blades. A high end, good budget and on a fixed blade at times(I am a outdorsman) the carbon fiber is done well, not perfect but good, blade center is good, d2 seems treated well, holds a good edge and takes a fine edge. I did lighten the tension of lock bar on one as it was a bit stiff to unlock. Pivot stays put (loc tite) overall very good for price. Feel in hand is ok not great but due to being a small knife but ergo helps with that, slim in pocket, clip has been goo so far, not bad, also have a couple avispa's in d2 that are good as well, and has replaced (though I still like) my rat d2's being thinner in pocket but rats feel better in hand, a trade off.

I totally agree to the other reviewers (at least 2 as of writing this review) on how opening the knife is hard. Not a big fan of thumb stud + frame lock detent ball opening mechanism myself, much prefer Spydie hole or thumb disc. This will not be my daily user and will not bump my current EDC out of the pocket because of this issue. On the other hand I have Ontario Rat made by the same manufacturer in Taiwan, I believe, and very happy with that knife. Should try "R2D2". I had high hopes for this knife because of D2 blade steel, which I would expect to develop some nice patina over time; pocket clip reversible for tip down carry; 3" blade suitable for urban carry where I live; carbon fiber handle on one side, steel frame lock on the other side - seemed like my Grail knive by the specs.

So sad they waisted kinda nice materials like D2 , CF, for this knife which basically cant be open with one hand, barely with 2, also closing it is a challenge . The worst ergonomics folding knife I ever had in my hands . Also pricey for what its delivers . If you buy it better get your fingers ready . I hope in time will go better with this opening and closing ,will see. It is running on copper washes , well centered , very sharp , locks in almost 100%. So sad is so bad to handle it opening and closing .

The knife looks great it’s sharp was a fair price and shipping was good. Now the problem. I could not open it one handed using the thumb stud, couldn’t do it. I put lubricant in it and worked it back and forth. I had a thumb stud that I had for a knife that didn’t have a thumb stud and moved it back a hair and that gave ethe leverage to be able to open it one handed. Instead of messing with shipping and the hassles of trying to return it I just took the factory thumb stud out and left the adjustable add on one on it. And the pocket clip is very tight
