Fantastic pack machete

I cleared alders up to 4” and spruce boughs all day with this tool the first day I got it and it is the best light chopping machete I’ve ever used (versus Condor, Imacasa, Tramontina, Ontario, and various others I’ve worked with). I have no idea what the previous reviewer is talking about with the poor performance he experienced; I know machetes and this one is a keeper.

disappointed in ESEE for selling this

when i first got it i went out to try and cut some bamboo. the edge folded over because it was ground so thin. I worked on fixing the edge for a few days. It would cut light vegetation like vines and small bushes, so I tried cutting some wood with it and the edge chipped. poor steel? I am very disappointed. I should have figured it was made cheap because of the price. Next time I will buy the more expensive machete and maybe it will stand up to the great reputation that I have come to expect from ESEE.
