Very cool knife

Perfect knife for my needs, quick release / bottle opener is great. thick durable hard blade, holds a great edge, but takes a while to sharpen. glassbreaker is a great addition, serrations are very sharp out of the box. Very well constructed deep carry, ergonomic, DPX have really improved on their previous knives, solved the problems they were critisized for. I think this knife will set them on track to being a big company in the future, will be critically acclaimed i a thinking. made with dangerous places in mind, if i end up in a sticky spot this is the knife i want. Very happy with it. Worth the money!! A+.

Well made!

Great sturdy EDC knife. Locking mechanism will likely wear down over time but an overall very good knife

I purchased this knife on a weekend and was at the door on Wednesday. I couldn't be happier with this knife, or the outstanding service from knife center. Only complaint I had was the blade was tight and had to loosen it just a touch, most of the time it's deployed from the pocket so didn't matter, and it's fixed. Best knife for the money, best knife for $100-$200 more.

Great Edc knife

All around great knife for every day carry. Wicked sharp out of the box with easy to maintain serrations. Heavily built with a thick blade that may lack the finesse of a thinner blade, however this knife will take a beating. Locks up tight and easy to use one-handed. The G-10 scale makes for a sure grip even with wet or slippery hands. May be a little on the large side for some, but thats a matter of a person's size / and or preference

Awesome do it all folder

I bought this a few months ago and this folder is just an all around dream! I havent been able to find many reviews or even forum comments on this particular knife. I see alot of negative criticism on some HEST 2.0 models but those have nothing to do with this beautiful knife (see nutnfancy youtube review where he is testing the claim that the 2.0 HEST is has good has a fixed blade knife which its not, ITS A FOLDER, but I digress, DPX DOES state that these hard use folders, this one included, can be used in the same manner. Would I use it that way? No, I have a Winkler II Belt knife for my main fixed blade). When you hold this blade it just feels "right" to me and is just SO light and well balanced? The G10 scales are very aggressive and provide excellent grip. The jimping/wire cutters also help for when you choke up for an even better grip for thrusting/ fighting. So far I have used the knife for my box cutting/opening needs, I am constantly using its bottle opener to pop brews and yes I have actually used the glass breaker on the bottom and broke out a driver side window on an old Honda on the second swing (was timid on first swing). The glass breaker would come on real handy say you had to break out of your own car. I have abused the hell out of this folder, short of batoning with it, and still no play and have only had to light sharpen it once. Another plus is the Nilox is very easy to sharpen at least with a Spyderco Sharpmaker. I don't usually buy knives not made in the USA, but when I put my hands on this one, I knew it would be my new EDC carry knife! The only knock I have is maybe it could open a little faster/easier. Im sure it will get better over time. Love this knife!

Best knife for the money

I bought this to replace my daily carry {Benchmade}. At first glance you can see the craftsmanship and practicality of this knife. I have many knives but none have actually made me respect it on this level. I use this every day for one thing or another, and yes I use the bottle opener almost daily, and absolutely no sign of wear and still holding a perfect edge. The only issue I noticed with mine(and my brother noticed with his as well) is the tightness of the blade. I just loosened it slightly and its perfect.Thank you Knife Center ,and DPX , for Hassle free purchase, fast shipping, and best knife you can buy for under $400.00.

Decent bang for your buck

This is a very reasonable priced tank of a knife, worth every cent. Only quibble I have is when flicked open the frame locks and I mean locks to the point you have to use two hands to unlock and if flick hard enough must be pried apart. If they would have put some heated steel that could be replaced in the frame side of the lock it might take away the locking to hard issue. I don’t know I’m a hobby knife maker and my main blades are fixed so that information might not relieve the hard locking just observation of other frame lockers. I like the pocket deployment but it scares the begessis out of by standers, kind funny though. The best lube I have found to help the hard locking is fluorinated grease applied sparingly to the blade lock surface but I still can’t flick it like I want too. Worth the money? Yes but have patience with the frame lock and the steel used in this knife so far taken everything I’ve thrown at it and is still sharp with no chipping of the blade either. If I lost it or it got stolen I probably would buy another one, AT THIS POINT, down the road might be a different story depending on how the blade holds up. This is a new steel to me. The bottle opener works good if ya know what I’m saying was the first thing I tested!
