Bought the knife after watching one-too-many youtube videos on bushcraft. Shipping was fast and efficient. KnifeCenter did a great job. Once I got the knife I could see instantly that it was well made. The knife is beautiful, the blade is well thought out and constructed, and the feel in hand is excellent. The sheath is well made as well, but not ambidextrous. Knife in hand I decided to settle a score with a large crepe myrtle tree in my back yard I had been meaning to get removed for a while. In this task it did a great job, the tree was felled in an hour or so, and it only took that long because I was brand new to hacking down trees with knives and my hand-eye coordination could use some help. However, it was also here that my few minor problems with the knife became apparent: First, the jimping on the back of the knife where you would place your thumb is pretty sharp. I understand it is designed to work as a wire cutter but it was unpleasant to put my thumb on while hacking, even while wearing gloves, though the gloves did help. Second, the handle, at least for me, caused a few hot spots. Don't get me wrong, the handle feels great while holding the knife or using it for more traditional slicing, but while hacking on a tree it eventually became uncomfortable. This will depend on the size and shape of your hand of course. All that said, I think the knife is great, and beautiful to boot. If 4.5 starts were an option I would have selected that.
