Awesome slipjoint

I grew up loving older knives as I was raised by my grandpa who firmly believed “no one makes a knife like Case”. I still have several but wanted something similar to carry that I wasn’t afraid to lose or tear up. I was extremely surprised after opening the box to find that it’s literally razor sharp. Nice weight, sturdy opening and that good loud snap when closing.

Beautiful handles and blade but a nail breaker

I think this latest RoseCraft Traditional knife, the Nolichucky, is the most beautiful of the slip joints issued by RC. This slipjoint looks much more expensive than it is. My favorite part of this knife is the stunning Vintage Moss Brown Bone Handles, followed by the spear point blade. The blade has a great snap closing. My only demerit on this knife is the pull, which is an 8 to 8.5. I bought two of them from two differences sellers (one includes KnifeCenter) and for both of them I really needed to dig my nail into the nail-nick to pull the blade out. I did break my nail doing it, which is unfortunate. I ordered a thumb stud to attach to the nail nick so I can pull the blade out more easily. I wish the pull on the blade was a 7 instead of a n 8 to 8.5.
