Pocket Perfection

I own several Rockstead knives ranging from their modest CHOU to their flagship UN-ZDP made in ZDP-189/VG10. The RYO is a model I have had interest in ever since seeing the blade shape. The fact that it boasts a convex ("Honzukuri") blade grind just made it all the more attractive. I have to say this knife does not disappoint. The quality is everything I have come to expect from Rockstead. The fit and finish is second to none. The action is smooth while extremely well-defined. The lock up is perfect. There is ZERO detectable play anywhere in the blade travel. The button lock is not only an attractive addition, but a welcome one given the frighteningly sharp blade. The sculpted scales are not only beautiful but make for a very secure grip. The pocket clip is more that just innovation; it's genius. Lastly, there's an unexpected Easter egg in the form of a lanyard port at the butt end which is not visible in the photos. All in all, this is one beautiful knife. Kudos to Rockstead for knocking it out of the park again and thank you to Knife Center for supplying us with tools that are at once useful and aesthetically pleasing.
