Hits well above its price point

First, my rating is based off the price point. I picked up this knife because it was cheap and I wanted a back up to my hunting knife. I've owned aus 8 steel knives and was curios if aus 10 was any better. I didn't notice any, however that's not a bad thing. The blade can take a keen edge that hold up pretty well to tasks you'd put it through. Now the parts that suprised me. I have small/med sized hands and the ergonomics are great. The handle is thin and short, but the shape, finge choils and jimping give plenty of grip and leverage. The edges are all chamfered and for me anyway, don't have hot spots. Even with stubby fingers, I can run my finger down the spine to get good control at the tip, or square my thumb on the jimping and put decent force into bigger cuts. When not in use, the knife fits snuggly into the compression fit sheath. If you wear it as a neck knife, you can be secure that it will still be there when you need it. I found the size and weight were not a problem when carrying that way. There is also a strong, but small spring clip for upright belt or pocket fix blade carry. I haven't carried it that way, but my impression is the clip is too small to fasten to a belt well, without danger of getting pushed off. I liked this knife enough to buy 4 as gifts for friends.

Decent Little Knife

For 16 bucks or so, I'd rather go with a Mora, Or bigger fixed blade to do the job, but for a spare hunter this is a decent option just to have. Can't complain about AUS-10 as a full tang blade at this price point, even if it is a little on the smaller side. Guess it would make a good neck knife too.
