He loves it.

This is a follow up to my LB3 review. I gave my grand-nephew the LB5 for his 17th B'day. He loves it. He picked up a part time helpers job at a flea market. He said that he's surprised how often it "comes in handy". It's a perfect size for either case or pocket carry. I may get one for me even tho I have an old beat Ranger 112. (Doesn't say Buck, just Ranger LB95 Prov USA)

Have had this knife for 10 years. Blade has first production run on it. Love this little knife. Razor sharp. Also have one with nickel silver bolsters an buffalo scales! For the price you cant beat it. Still wish they were made in USA though.

I had an Original for 41 years

I had an original of this knife since I was 18 years old, that was 41 years ago. It came up missing yesterday and I feel lost without it. It has been a trusted and dependable tool for all of these 41 years, and looks and handles today as good and as well as the day I first got it. It can still hold an edge sharp enough to shave by. I only pray that I can find it, and that these new ones are half as good. The original never came with a sheath, that is a nice addition.

Great working knife

I'm in the architectural field and spend a lot of time in the field. The LB 5 is the perfect size for any and all tasks I perform regularly. Keeps an edge well no matter how much abuse I put it through everyday. Great knife.

This is my daily carry camp/utility knife Still carried in its original leather pouch. Brash is turned a little green over the years Edge is still solid and holds well, easy to sharpen.

Great knife

I like everything about knife and sheath. Both are very pretty for the price. It's a shame that the stitching lasted a week. Now I have to take sheath apart just to sew bottom of belt strap back on. That's really unacceptable

A great traditional knife, great shape to the handle and the blade. Enough size to cope with heavy tasks without slipping and strong enough to cope. I use this knife for general farm use on rope, water pipe etc. with confidence. If I didn't lose them I wouldn't need to buy another for a very long time

DYI Helper

This knife is a bit big for the pocket but it's sheath makes it a great knife for the DYI homeowner for use on projects around the house. The price also makes this knife a plus. However I have not had enough time using the knife to know how it holds it's edge.

Schrade makes a great little knife

Picked up this knife to replace my Buck 112 ranger. I work in Washington D.C. and the ranger just felt a little too large to bring to the city. I've been using it for about a month now and it's be a very reliable replacement, it's no Buck ranger but for the price it does a great job and if I need to enter a building that won't let me in because I have it I can just give it up and buy a replacement, no big deal. You won't be disappointed with this knife and then sheath is worth price alone.

Budget Folder

The knife won't last long. I started to get a lot of blade play after a month. I could also see a lot of machining marks and cosmetic defects. However the worse was the the blade grind. It was swaying to the left and the angles were way off. In fact the only good thing I could find was the sheath.
