Bought this pen a while back when i worked in a warehouse and needed a pen since all pens were always stolen especially forklift drivers pens. Driving along putting boxes away had the pen sitting on the dash of the lift i had as it was a standup style lift didnt notice it fall off the lift and go to back up i hit something and it shook the whole lift almost flipping it look down to see i had ran it clear over. Body was still in perfect condition, fire starter still worked whistle was fine onoy damage that was done was i broke the ink cartridge and had to buy a new cartridge from amazon 10/10 would buy again if needed.

Best Value ‘Tactical’ knife out there.
We’ve probably all owned a myriad of ‘tactical’ pens, and most of them are pure crap. I’ve owned this one in orange for about 4-5 years now. It not only feels good in the hand, but it is FUNCTIONAL. It has a loud whistle built in, a ferro rod and sturdy striker, as well as a pocket clip, refillable ink, and I’ve even been able to secure a small piece of cotton ball tinder inside. This pen is a must have in every vehicle, bag, cache and cabin. Be safe. Be blessed.

Great for EDC or emergency use
This pen is a must-have for EDC or emergency purposes. All the features work well on it (5 stars). The writing feature is, in my opinion, 3 stars. There's my 4 rating rationale. The barrel where you grip the pen is both hefty and slightly uncomfortable, however, if you wear flight/aviator gloves or mechanic's gloves like we do in the field then it's going to give you enough tactile feel to take notes without any problems. I bought this for the EDC/emergency features, the pen is a bonus.

Nice Tactical Pen
All of the features work well. The fire steel works well, but does seem like a kind of strange feature. Hefty, heavy in hand. Writes well. Feels like the the impact prowess should be pretty good. All in all it seems to be very well made.

Nice Pen
I use the pen sometimes for taking notes in college. It works nicely. The whistle is pretty loud and the fire starter works well. I am pretty confident that if I ever had to use it for self defense it would hold up. I can't make use of my concealed carry license at my college, so it's better to have something rather than nothing. I am pleased, but I much prefer my Gerber Impromptu. It's stainless steel and made in America.

Great idea and great design. QC leaves a little to be desired in the area of the threads. Could accept the quality at a lower price point but expected a bit better.

Striking plate piece falls easily
All is good except the part that is attached to the striking plate. It loosens by itself and will fall off without notice. My advice is always put the pen in a bag when you’re not writing. Seriously if you want to use the Whistle, unscrew the Whistle and put the pen back into a bag. Never stroll with the pen in hand. Learn from my mistakes
