good edc knife for light use

sandrin knife have chip resistant to light use and razor edge can be obtained when stropping with diamonds unlike ceramic knives. This is a better alternative to ceramic folding knives which have the same purpose.

how to use the lock

The knife is perfect and I have figured out how to really use the lock. 1) use flat thumb 2) do NOT press too hard 3) slide. Most people grapple with it, remember it's Italian and smooth.

Really nice knife

I was a bit hesitant on buying this knife but after speaking with Josh who is affiliated with Knife Center I decided to make a purchase. I could sense he was honest and a very good person who cares for his customers and the cutlery business. On arrival. This knife was in perfect condition with flawless fit and finish. The display box is so nice it came in I kept it instead of throwing it in the trash. I used this knife and it was so sharp I could cut a paper towel clean down the middle from a fast push cut. The open and close action is perfect and easy for small or larger hands. And can even be wrist flicked open. In person this knife is a lot better looking than on the pictures from Knife Center. A beautiful piece. There was very barely any almost non existant blade play up and down. And no side to side blade play whatsoever.. And the recoil lock is easy to open and close either hand. Word of warning. The blade will close fast and smooth with no warning due to the all steel ball bearings. But with the cut out and smooth finger choil. Poses no threat in cutting you. And this knife will pretty much stay sharp a very very long time from normal use with no need for re sharpening. With that said. If you do have to re sharpen this knife you can send it to Sandrin to re sharpen or buy some diamond foil or possibly a Worksharp with diamond belts and do it yourself. But you probably want to send it back to Sandrin as they got the tools and expertise to do a better job. I would not trust even a professional knife sharpener to properly sharpen this. DO NOT use this as a screw driver or hard beater blade. And this knife will provide a few lifetimes of trouble free cutting. Yeah this is my main EDC now and the blade is a bit thicker on this model than some of their other entry level folders. I would suggest this for normal to semi hard EDC use in a heart beat. And the pocket clip feels like Titanium and very light. It works well but I would have preferred a bit more pressure on the pocket material. But it does a fine job and helps keep this knife light weight. The pocket clip is just a preference thing on my end and not of bad quality at all. In closing. I have to say I am glad I purchased this and trusted Josh of Knife Center's honest view of this knife instead of listening to the haters on Blade Forums who never owned a Sandrin or believe all knives not from USA are trash. So glad I left that forum and their illogical or competitor shill opinions.

totally unique

The blade on this knife is amazingly sharp and long lasting. It is very thin, adding to its slicing and cutting ability. Although I prefer other locking mechanisms, this is an easy 1 hand open and close, and the finger choil provides more than adequate protection when closing. I really like the blade finish, which is also unique. Of the several knives I own, this seems to get my attention more than any other.

Perfect Companion Knife

I have been looking for a companion knife for my Demko AD20. The Sandrin Knives Torino is just right. It is slightly longer that a CRKT Pillar Large but super thin and slicey. The lock has some similarities to the Shark Lock so it makes sense as a companion. I highly recommend it.

Fantasic

I would say that once people start catching onto the fact that this knife exist and learn of the abilities and performance of the tungsten blade, KC want be able to keep these in stock. I have many knives with high end steels (e.g., Rex 45, S110V, ZDP189, etc) and hands down this is the sharpest knife from the factory, I have purchased to date. Can't wait to see how this tungsten blade holds up over time. Fit & Finish on this beauty is outstanding!!

I will never use this enough to make it dull

It feels a little light for the money, and the handles could be more lux for a +$200 pocket knife. That said, the knife is well-designed to fit in the hand, and accommodates a couple of different grips, despite its small size. Even if I was inclined to knock a star off for the handle material or something, the blade material makes up for it. This is a sharp slab of flat-ground tungsten that will never get dull, at least not for my uses. Recommended.

Unique, and awesome!

Just came in today, 2-23-21. I love this thing! I was drawn to the unusual styling, and, of course, the unusual tungsten carbide blade material. The action is very smooth, and works perfectly. It literally freewheels open and shut like no other knife I've ever had, and the excellent detent keeps the blade securely stowed. The Recoil lock is reliable, and very easy to operate. The blade came razor sharp with no play, and perfectly centered in the very narrow space between the scales. This knife is also a bit heavier than I expected, which I like. It feels more substantial than it looks. A big Thank You! to our friends in Italy for making the beautiful Sandrin Knives Torino, and a big Thank You! to Knife Center for bringing us this beautiful knife.

A real sleeper. Get one while you can.

Light, thin, slicey and impossibly sharp. Outstanding bearing pivot action and detent feel from the interesting, effective and easy to use locking mechanism. Quirky yet minimalist, lightweight yet sturdy. Disappears in the pocket. It is in no way a "hard use" knife, but for EDC and fidget factor, I'm not sure it gets much better. Impeccable fit, finish and a joy to handle. Blade is legitimately scary sharp right out of the box. Locking mechanism is a brilliant bit of design. Think Benchmade Bugout designed by Lamborghini.

Alien technology

I am only able to use one hand and lost my eye in service. So a sharp knife with edge retention is prime factor these day. Based on David’s YouTube channel he recommended this knife to me. Thank you David. It is alien sharp. Easy to use one handed. Has a great lock mechanism and I personally love the look. Deep carry clip too. This tungsten Blade will likely outlast me. I own hundreds of knives. This is in top 5 easily. Top one or two in sharpness. Highly recommended.

Lock up is rickety and I slip on the thumbstud often

I love the ugly blade finish and the cheap Milwalkee looking handle. I love the idea of buying a forever-sharp box utility knife for people and they don't know what it cost, just pleasantly surprised it never dulls. I would buy this for everyone I know except the lock up is sketchy loose. Suspect loctite on pivot screw from factory might help but still not great.

Lovely but lost easily

Great knife, but I lost mine once and luckily a customer found it for me. Then I lost it for good a second time. Out of my pocket both times. A buddy of mine lost his as well. Not a coincidence, as I have worn/carried a pocket knife daily for years and this is the only one I've ever lost.
