So, for $40 its pretty sweet. The fit and finish is on par with anything that WE/Civivi/Sencut does. Caged ceramic bearings provides smooth action when deploying the blade. 9cr is fine, especially for everyday carry, it has good toughness and is very corrosion resistant. 9cr is also very easy to touch up and keep sharp, especially for a novice at sharpening. Nice swedge on the blade creates a little bit of tip reinforcement and aesthetics, great hollow grind with a superb edge. Sencut is great with their factory edges. Ergonomics are really comfortable, fits my medium hand very well. Good placement of the thumb ramp and the jimping is useful. The G-10 is good and has a sticky but smooth purchase. I like the layered G-10, it's the only knife I currently have with this configuration and it's a standout. Absolutely no lock play and the blade was centered perfectly. There is no complaint about this knife if you want something inexpensive. Looks different than all the other black handled knives out there. Certainly compliments my collection of high priced and budget knives well. Fun carry, very utilitarian, deep carry pocket clip for all the sheeple out there. There is always an abundance of HOT TRASH out there in the $40 price range, the Hyrax is not in that category. The only real problem I see in the execution of this knife is I don't believe that is has a captive pivot. But with the right tools, shouldn't be a problem. Gave it a 4 because it is a 4. Good bang for your buck.
