As far as a flashlight for tactical use, the EDCL2-T is perfect. The UI is simple, so in an emergency, no complicated button presses to fumble with. A light press on the tail switch gives you 5 lumen (good to see and keep your night vision). A full press gives you a blinding 1200 lumen. To get a constant activation, twist the cap to choose low or high. While on low, a tail switch press blinds any unfriendly. As with all Surefire lights I’ve owned, it’s well built and more substantial than 99% of the competition. I’m half tempted to buy another one as a spare, just in case they stopped producing it.
