Pros: Overall Quality, Durability, Carry Position
Cons: None
Decent, well constructed sheath
This isn't too bad for the price. It's made of pretty thick leather and has a nice welt (Welt is 3/16" thick). The stitching is good on it. I picked it up to use for a knife I made until I decide how I want to make a custom sheath. Have tossed a few other knives into it and used it when I went out in the woods to camp or early in Bow season. An ESEE 5 will fit in this sheath almost as if it was made for that knife. It's kind of nice having a sheath like this not made specifically for any knife. You can leave it on your belt and toss in a different knife for different tasks. With shorter blades like the Benchmade Bushcrafter or my Ontario Cayuga, the handle will tuck down into the sheath a little and stay secure. Only downside is the glossy outside surface. It doesn't look bad, but the leather was a little dry, so I used Mink Oil on the back side of the leather and down inside to get the Mink oil to soak in.
