Inexpensive Protection
The Good: This is an inexpensive leather sheath to protect your (hopefully) more expensive knife, or in my case, multitool. As described, it is designed to fit up to 4" folders. Here's some additional info: The interior of the pouch is 3"x1"x3/4". My intent was to use it with my Leatherman Wave+ and initially the fit wasn't happening, but the sheath responds well to warm water and some wet molding. The Leatherman now fits nicely and the flap snaps too. I'm hopeful this sheath will protect the Wave in situations that would wreck a nylon sheath in short order. The Bad: First, I understand this is a $7 sheath. But since you asked, I'm not a fan of the two slits on the back for attaching to a belt. I would have preferred a loop. As for aesthetics, the basket weave imprint only covers about 2/3 of the pouch, fading out near the bottom. And the snap is already very discolored. Deduct one point for finish and detail. All that being said, this thing was purchased with the intention of being a beater. I'm confident it will last for a while, and when it gives out there's always another. Good luck with yours.
