I was looking for a new EDC knife and this just called out to me. I’m a huge fan of the tanto style blade and have carried several different brands over the years. This knife is the best tanto style blade I’ve seen in a folder. The blade is scary sharp over the full length. If you haven’t tried a tanto style blade you really need to try this knife. Everything about this knife shows outstanding, practical design, and superb execution. The lock mechanism is secure and totally reliable, and the grip is very comfortable. I’d give it six stars if I could, but I guess five will have to do. IMHO, this is the ultimate EDC knife available.

I started to collect knives and carry them every day. I look at all my collection and without a doubt, I pick this guy. I compare it to: 1. Benchmade Griptillian 2. Spiderco Paramilitary 2 3. Civivi Ortis 4. SOG Kiku I am coming back to this hero, a simple combination of steel, profile, sharpness, handle and overall elegance of what a knife represents. so - it is not he most expensive, not the most hyped blade, but every time I carry something else, I wish I carry K320

Exceptionally well built
I’m an apartment maintenance tech, and I constantly cut boxes, tape, strip wires….and in the short time I’ve had this knife, I have put it to work. Hard. It has not let me down, and just a couple passes with the strop brings back a hair shaving edge. I thought I might regret this knife, I don’t. It’s too sweet a work horse.

I picked up the KC exclusive a couple months back, and it’s not left my pocket since. The ergonomics are top notch, fit and finish on point, sharp as can be and reliable as all get out. I will always recommend this to anyone looking for a great knife.

I have had this knife for two weeks and I have been carrying it exclusively. The build quality is top notch and the action is as smooth as my Spyderco Kapara. The ABLE lock is excellent. The pocket clip works great. It clips onto the pocket without fuss and holds well. When removing it from the pocket, the louvered cuts provide very good traction for your thumb. Another feature I like is the T8 screw heads are nice and deep so they won't strip easily. This knife has a nice quality feel to it and it will be one of my favorites for a long time. What a great value!

You wouldn't expect a knife in this price range to feel so good in your hands, but it does. It opens and closes easily, and Hogue's ABLE lock works very well. The tanto version has a small amount of steel removed from the top of the blade, and it provides the perfect place for your thumb to rest when you choke up on the knife. The S20V steel is excellent, and the blade was sharp out of the box. I really like the stonewash finish in this KnifeCenter exclusive, and I think that I might pick up the drop-point version, as well. The rough texture of the scales provides for a secure grip, but it also tears up the pocket in my jeans, so I lift the pocket clip slightly when I pull the knife out of my pocket. I'm divided on the usefulness of the tanto, and I think the second edge on the K320 is too forward for my tastes.

First off this knife has the best factory edge I’ve ever gotten on a production knife! My Spyderco knives are close but this K320 beats them. I was not interested in this knife until I found this KC exclusive with the stonewashed blade. As a pistol shooter the handle material does not bother me as I am used to it. I will say that I did need to sand down the texture under the pocket clip a little to make pocketing it easier. This is my first “crossbar lock” knife so I need to get used to it. I personally am not a fan of the pocket clip screw holes being empty. Otherwise great American knife!

I really want to love this knife but it's suffering from a handle that I find lacking in ergonomics. The best way I can describe it is a combination of slightly too small given the blade size while being smooth and textured in the wrong places. I have relatively large hands, and I get maybe a 3.5 fingered grip on the handle. The lack of filling grip combines with a smooth plastic back portion to make me feel like the knife is about to start slipping in my hand. This sensation is amplified somewhat by the smooth plastic on the front 40% of the handle where my index finger (and occasionally thumb) rests. The generous finger choil at the front of the blade remedies this somewhat, but using that choked-up grip on the blade isn't always favorable for every cutting task and it's not how I naturally hold this knife. To be a bit nitpicky, the machining on the ABLE lock thumb studs is actually quite sharp and can get a little uncomfortable with repeated lock actuation. But not all is complaints! I gave it 4 stars for a reason. The S30V steel comes razor sharp out of the box and the high flat grind makes for really effective cutting. The American tanto blade shape is my prefered for utility and EDC purposes as you get nice slicing, scraping, and poking abilities. The ABLE crossbar lock is very satisfying to use and the blade action is silky smooth. A little bit of pivot screw adjustment and the knife opens and closes with gravity alone when you disengage the lock bar, and does so with zero blade play or rattling. Despite the handles being a light polymer, the 2/3s length steel liners give the construction great strength and rigidity. If they offered a more fully textured handle that was perhaps a half inch longer as well, it would be a fantastic knife for me.

Great But Rough
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase - this is different than my other favorites. Now I know from experience, Hogue knives are sharp (nicked myself twice). Love the blade and the ergo's. What I didn't like was the finish, the area for pinching the ABLE lock slide, very rough. I took my drimmel bit and smooth those points out and also took some sandpaper to the handle texture (too much) - it's much better now. I'm waiting to feel the new aluminum handled models. I believe that'll be an improvement to the overall feel of this knife. jb

Overall build quality is very good. I love how the blade rises up slightly when the lock is pulled back in the closed position. (In turn it also acts as a cushion when closing the knife). The pivot is very smooth. My only wishes are larger form factor, (maybe a K420 - 4” tanto with a larger handle) and more texture around the lock mechanism. Great fidget factor too.

Perfect except for one thing
The knife is built well. Materials are great. Unfortunately the tanto tip is too close to the edge of the handle and it can prick you or get caught on your pocket. Other handle edge on the end was just a little bigger then there would be no problem. Also, it isn’t very sharp. Maybe I got a dud?

Good match for P320; bad choice for solitary EDC
Overall, this is a decent knife. Sharp, comfortable handle, and a good brand. Unfortunately, I have some problems with it. The lock gets jammed if you open it with any amount of force, and it can be difficult to get it unstuck. The texturing on the handle has a smooth area in the middle of it where the pocket clip goes so it doesn't tear up your pocket, but it has it on both sides (because of the reversible clip) and on the showing side it honestly just looks like a spot that melted on the handle. The hole isn't very easy to open the blade with; my thumb is pushed towards the 90° corner and isn't able to get a very good grip. Also, the knife is very front-heavy, though that isn't necessarily a problem for me. I would not recommend this as an EDC knife, EXCEPT if you plan to use it as an EDC set combined with a SIG P320 handgun.
