This is an excellent saw made to be the best and it is. The blade is sk-5 with a knife like temper (chrome plated for rust protection and sharp as hell), has a fairly ergonomic and quite grippy rubber handle. The blade flexes just enough to give when you get pinched in larger or stickier logs but no less than any other saw of this design type. It cuts like an absolute dream and really is great to work with. Silky's folding saws are the best on the market and this is a step above those in being lightweight and sturdy along with that great blade length. I have sawed through dried oak of about 8 inches with this saw and it wasn't as fun as eating a brownie but it was a lot better than the (fiskars) folding saw that I compared it with for cutting performance. The other saw literally bent and stayed bent within the first 5 strokes so it got tossed out. If you need a pruning saw or want something for camping/woods work that is light and capable then this is a great option and worth every penny. The sheath is pretty good too. no way to retain the saw in the sheath other than gravity but there is a belt attachment to carry this saw that works nicely, and I have had no problems with the saw coming out of the sheath.
