Big performance but still compact
I agonized for a while over which saw to buy- I had a Corona folding saw that was getting worn out and wanted to replace it. Silky has a great reputation and the quality and performance do not disappoint. It would still be a personal choice whether to get this model, a smaller silky or a Bahco Laplander or a Corona. The Bigboy makes faster cuts thanks to the extra blade length and although folded it’s longer than my previous saw it is still a lightweight and slim package that is easy to stow and transport. I’ve heard that Silky’s blades stay sharp longer than the competition, though I can’t confirm yet. I use this saw for cutting brush mainly. My only nitpick is that the tip of the blade catches on the handle while you close it, I can never seem to close it on the first try…
