I was looking for a lightweight EDC that I could abuse and this knife fits that bill perfectly. My favorite details are... 1. The ergonomics are excellent. The curve at the back of the handle fits in the heel of my hand comfortably. The forward choil is useful and worth the cost in cutting edge length. It reminds me of my Spyderco Manix 2 LW except it fits in my pocket way better. It is thin in both directions, I forget I am carrying it. 2. The blade can take some abuse. I am a huge fan of how Steel Will has treated D2. It came razor sharp and after a month of use, it is still sharp. 3. Value. At this price point, I'm hard pressed to call out a better knife, especially a well done flipper. 4. The flipper action. This was really disappointing in the beginning. I had a lot of deployment failures. However, after about a week of use, it has become very reliable. It isn't as fast as my ball bearing flippers, but the washers allow the knife to get a lot dirtier and still flip reliably. Lastly, I waited a long time to buy the knife because I thought it was ugly. However, in person, the blade shape is beautiful. The handle quickly grew on me because of its usefulness. I was on the fence for a while but am glad I pulled the trigger.
Steel Will Cutjack C22-1OD Flipper Knife 3.5" D2 Satin Drop Point Blade, OD Green FRN Handles
The action, blade shape, ergos, and toughness are near perfect. I’ve used it to trim dried up blades off palm fronds, sliced thick bundles of dried up tomato plant stalks, cut down piles of cardboard, etc. all with ease on the same day, and the blade could still push cut paper. I own various knives, some with high end steels; this knife is by far my favorite to use and carry. At this price, it is an excellent value. I will be buying more just to add them to my non-carry collection.

So I don't know a whole lot about knives, different steels and so on. I do have 4 or 5 Saks, a Buck 110 , 3 Leatherman multitools and a couple of Moras. I came across someone doing a review on YouTube about the cutjack, checked out some more reviews liked what I saw and ordered one. Gotta tell ya i love this knife, this is my first flipper carry this knife daily use it to cut boxes, shrink wrap, rope etc. All my other knives are smaller blades so this is the perfect size , the weight is fine I don't even feel it when it's in my pocket, the contour of the handle feels great when cutting, just all around good knife and for $43 the price is right. Thx knife center.

This came today, so I can't say too much on an experiential basis. This is my third SW folder. I have the Apostate and the Gekko. The first is a flipper and, boy-howdy, does it flip open. This is the easiest opening flipper that I have. This is almost as good. It was very sharp OOB. If I put a slight bit of tension on the el cheapo white stuffing paper that surrounded the box, it would push cut. It sliced up today's junk mail with reckless abandon. I can't see any reason that I won't continue to be pleased with this one. If you are OK with D2, you very will may need one. I'm sure that you want one. Merry Christmas and Happy Knife Year!

I'm very impressed with this knife all the way around. Very hard to beat for the price! Ergos are superb, blade profile is excellent and very sharp. Has phosphor bronze bushings, btw. Comfortable carry in the pocket. (The clip is a little tight.) Nice texturing on the handle...not sharp but grippy. We'll see how the pocket wear is. My only complaints: 1) The corners of the flipper feel a little too sharp. 2) The logos on the sides of the blade appear to be printed on, not laser etched. I can feel a raised texture to the text...I would expect this to wear off with use (we'll see). Also, this is made in China (not Taiwan) if it matters to you. Quality is really good especially for the level of materials and price though. This one is a home run. Home run with this one, Steel Will! Well done.

Excellent knife
I carry this knife as my main EDC blade. It is easily the same quality as my Spyderco Endura or my Al Mar Eagle Ultralight. I would recommend it as an excellent EDC knife.

Excellent performer with a fit and finish of a Swiss watch
Had this wonderful piece of cutlery been offered in G10 scales or micarta, I would buy it too in a heartbeat. But FRN scales allow for its price to be what it is, and it's a steal. I inspected the one I got to a minute detail, and the quality is on par with a custom piece. Even the jimping on the blade are done with such precision, it's amazing. I like D2 very much, and frequently knives in this steel come somewhat undersharpenned - not this guy, having a true razor-sharp edge. And the way the edge itself is formed is nothing short of what should be the industry standard (Spyderco and Benchmade, being spoiled as they are, should take a serious notice) - it's so uniform, one could almost use it to calibrate a caliper. Very, very happy with the purchase, excellently done, Steel Will!

Very light knife, great flipping action, comfortable grip. Very useful knife with a good blade steel that won't break the bank.

Nice knife
Comfortable, thin and light handles. Great, smooth flipper. Sharp blade. A little off center but otherwise perfect. Not sure if a choir is really worth losing that much cutting edge though.

Steel Will Cutjack D2/FRN
This is my first Steel Will knife and my first flipper. The flipper tab is well designed, large enough for easy deployment, but not obtrusive. The deployment is smooth, but I have felt better. The grinds are well executed and it arrived quite sharp. Handle is large enough for a full grip, but still carries well in a pocket. Overall, I like it!

I just checked the blade HRC, the result is 58. The tested area was near D2 writting, could be possible the hardness be higher near the cutting edge?

Hot Garbage
I was excited about buying this item, I waited patently for 3 months for Steel Will to ship and wow! I received an absolute turd in a box. The "flipper" action is non existent. It doesn't even deploy 50%. I wasn't expecting much but this thing has the breaks on right out the deployment. I shouldn't have to flick my wrist like I've got a booger on it to deploy a flipper. Also, the knife came out of the box missing the screw in the back that holds the handle together. I looked to see if it had fallen out in shipping but nope, it was shipped missing parts. Conveniently, they remembered to place a little card stating that it had been "inspected." I guess they don't care to mention that it fails the inspection. This is getting returned asap. I'm going to ask for another one but now I'm reading in the Terms that KnifeCenter Policy states that I'm not to be reimbursed the shipping cost. I'll edit if things improve.

Could've Should've Didn't
This knife is a "love me out of the box, hate me later on down the line" kind of knife. The ergonomics are fantastic, the D2 steel is a steal at this price, the fact that this should be a great budget flipper is what saddens me the most. There is no way, even if you do not care about disassembly voiding warranty to disassemble most of these shite knives. There is an incorrigible amount of loctite on every item that has a thread on it, and it isn't the loctite that Nan can take apart, no, this loctite needs the Hulk to take it apart, also there is significant offcentering and blade play, at least in this model.
