3001 10" Diamond Sharpening Steel
This is the fastest productive steel I have used. Mostly, I've used the honing rods that you buy for that purpose or they come with the purchase of your knife set. They work but I am impatient & get frustrated before I'm pleased with the sharpness of my knife. I noticed a difference the first time I used this one. It still took a few tries of successive sweeps on each side but I could tell the progress sooner than usual. I am at this site to buy another one. There's still plenty of use on my current one but I just always like having a spare of most things so I don't get caught off guard.
