Superb knife
This Les George knife is awesome, the carbon fiber G10 handles are excellent. The blade deployment is effortless and make this model a great fit to your hand. The blade is super sharp out of the box, cutting cardboard boxes. The finish is also great. Glad to have found this model on Knife Center. Spartan Blades is a great company.

Outstanding steel used in this blade. This is the first CTS-XHP knifesteel I have used before. Seems very similar to the S30V I have in another blade. Love the stainless characteristics it has. Another first with this knife is the carbon fiber handles. These are smoothish with a little tack but the kicker is the nice look with the checkering it offers. The pocket clip has been swapped over to accommodate the left hand draw from the left pocket. In the past I had mainly owned liner lock folders but more recently been using Axis style locking knives. It’s been no problem using this liner lock model although my tastes have grown to favor the Axis system. Not being familiar with Les George I must say that he has made a very nice knife that fills the palm nicely-it is a perfect size with good weight and balance and can go right to work and look good doing it.

New edc?
Very well made with good materials. Will probably be my new edc, but who knows.I love any knife designed by Les George, and this is no exception. Very good lockup, very sharp out of the box. The carbon fiber handle scales have good purchase rather than being slick. So far, I am very pleased with this knife.

Cons: Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use
Uneven secondary bevels
Overall the knife was designed by a great knife maker. However my edges were all uneven and I had to reprofile and resharpen the knife. The action can be improved with a little TLC. I don’t like how thin liner lock is because it’s a bit uncomfortable to disengage.

Disappointed
I really wanted to like this knife. Great blade but it's very tough to flick it out. Hard to work in. incredibly difficult to flick with thumb or finger. Carbon fiber handle is nice, not too aggressive and will not tear up your pocket. Jimping on spine is good. It's so hard to open I wish it had a flipper on the back. When I use the thumb studs to open or reverse flick I have to use so much wrist to get it open. Oiling it did not help at all. Good weight and jimping on the handle feels good. Liner lock is smooth. Pocket clip is small and works great, feels good in the pocket. Way too stiff and hard to actuate. Looks good but if you can't get the blade out....
