My new favorite knife!- and I don't usually give reviews.
Was looking for a new rugged and compact knife to keep in the car/ bring camping. Bought this on a (birthday justification) whim and I have to admit I had buyers remorse after purchasing and waiting for this thing. Did i really need to spend $200+ dollars on a new knife. I own several other EDC knives from the top major brands and to me a knife just another tool in the tool bag. However, after I got this, for some reason, this one spoke to me and seems to ticks every one of my boxes. From its size, weight, blade action and sturdy feel/ergonomics, to how it opens and how it closes- everything is perfect with this knife even the compound/Tanto grind works. I love flipper knives but stopped buying them because most are liner locks and with out failure at some point I will shut that blade on my finger, so this XR lock is perfect. if I had one complaint and this is minor design stuff-maybe change the back end -add a flat hammer or striking wedge/point and a straight carry clip. but that is really minor for how much i like this thing. Also that ~30 degree notch on the back is a perfect grab for a magnesium fire stick. People always have their personal preferences on knifes and how they use them, but this one is rugged/built to do work and a perfect fit for me. so thought I would share. Happy knife hunting!
