Missed opportunity
Why couldn't they just have taken the original Pentagon elite design (the one before they put the garish branding on the handle), and replaced the plastic with G10 (skeletonizing the liners to keep the weight down), and upgraded the steel? This new version loses what made the original special - it's heavy, the blade length isn't very impressive, and the blade is too wide to be very stabby. And what's the point of adding a flipper on a knife that always opened readily with a bit of wrist action? If you wanted to add some opening functionality, then put a pocket catch on it instead.
