Love this knife (after I made some changes)

This is (now) a great little knife for those who like slip joints (hand is raised). It's unusual because it has caged bearings in the pivot. I like the clip point, although I think the grind is too fat. Can't do much about that. CHANGES THAT I MADE After disassembly, I smoothed and polished the back edge of the knife. That removed the DLC coating, but that doesn't mean anything to me. I polished the butt of the blade around the pivot and cleaned it thoroughly, including the bearings, to remove any metal dust particles. I added a tiny drop of oil to each of the bearings assemblies. I reassembled it and carefully adjusted the pivot so there was no blade play. I can now open this easily with my thumb. The bearings allow the knife to open smoothly. I also polished the back of the pocket clip to make it easier to slide into your pocket. I think this clip is too narrow. A slight (and I mean slight) spoon at the end would make it better. By the way, the liners are cut and act as the back spring. Interesting and effective. I haven't tested the "Cryo D2." Some D2 blades I have are good, while others are only so-so. I guess it also has to do with the heat treatment. Nice little knife overall, and I like that I can wrap all four fingers around it. I might get the satin/green G10 version of this knife..

S.O.G. is on the decline

Certainly not the best offering from S.O.G., probably not their worst either. Priced a tad bit high for what it is, if they dropped it $10 it would be a good little pick up. A little stiff opening
