Surprising Quality

SOG has sometimes been hit or miss with me - I got this as a gift for my father for Christmas not expecting much, but especially when considering the cost this was a pretty knockout gift. The blade came with as good an edge as you could ever hope for given the steel, the blade pivot is surprisingly smooth (often with minimalist stuff the pivot feels gritty or rough to me), the lockup of the liner lock feels very solid, and once you get a feel for the positioning it opens and shuts one-handed pretty easily. All in all very happy with my selection, and so's the old man. The only thing I could even possibly gripe about is handle comfort, but even that seems kind of nitpicky given that it's not supposed to be a workhorse knife, it's a money clip.

Money Clip Knife

Yup. Bought at the same time for the same price as the Gerber Credit Card knife. Two different things. Don't use a money clip, but usually travel with a wallet with CCs in it. Can't get through security with either of those knives, though. Maybe cool for night clubs or something. Both are basically novelty items to me.
