Hidden pushdagger

Use it as last line of defense weapon, not as EDC. If you put your middle finger in the first hole next to the blade you got a rocksolid pushdagger that will punch holes in everything that is in Front of the blade. I wear this knife right beside my belt buckle (shirt over belt) and can draw it in less one second - for sure. Thatswhy, Blade thickness, steel quality and sharpness are ok for the named purpose....

Solid little knife!

The pre-order wait on this knife was a bit long, but this knife is worth the wait! This is a minimalist knife, but the blade is very thick and it feels good in the hand. The knife fits snugly into its sheath with no rattling. It comes out with a tug, but can be a bit tricky to get back in. I would have preferred a kydex sheath. The knife itself is well-finished with no rough edges. The bead-blast surface on the inside of the finger holes is a nice touch. I wish it had the center groove in the gimping that some of the original Jason Brouse blades have. The blade was sharp on delivery, but not razor-sharp. Overall, a great knife for the price. KnifeCenter - it would be great to see some pictures of the sheath, belt clip, and neck chain, as well as some other angles of the knife itself.

Wish I had this when I was Working!

I worked in a shipping dept for a while. I spent a lot of time opening and closing a a folding Knife to open packages. This knife would have been a time saver.I am now retired , This is my new go to knife! Great price, and I added the blade tech TEK -LOC Very secure belt attachment. Now I have to order more for Christmas Gifts.

SOG SNARL IF IT WAS ONLY LARGER

I wish you made a larger version of this knife. I love the horizontal nylon sheath and the clip, maybe it just a little bit longer blade may 3.5 inches.... I hope make plans on making a larger version. Great design!

Good, But Serious Flaws.

I have carried this knife for about a month now and there are definitely things I like and things that I really do not like about the knife. Let's get the bad out of the way first. 1. The blade stock is way to thick for a knife of this size. I have always been a big fan of .25 stock but placed on a neck knife it is just not practical. You are never going to be prying crates, or knocking doors of of hinges with a knife this small (you should never do that to a knife anyways). 2. Because of how thick the knife is, the blade is not nearly as sharp as it should be and is too heavy for it's size. For me this is my secondary/emergency knife. I keep this knife in the small of my back for quick emergency type situations when you need quick access to a razor blade. This is not the ideal knife for that. It is sharp but not enough. 3. With the area I carry knives this small, the knife is not easily accessible or resheathable due to the finger holes. It has taken a lot of muscle memory to get used to the sheathing/unsheathing because my knuckles get caught between the knife and my pants making it very awkward to sheath it. 4. The finger holes are not very practical. They are awkward as well as not very comfortable for normal cutting tasks. If you ever had to use this knife for self defense (which I do not advise you do) the fingers holes may be an advantage in that it would be harder to be disarmed. Other than that, I would go with another knife if that is your mindset. Now, the positive, 1. Price. It is a great knife considering the other type of knives for under $40. 2. The edge taper is very pretty and the finish on the knife looks very sleek. All in all, despite my harsh critique of the knife, for the price it is nice. There are substantially better options that are not that far off the price range such as the Mojo X by TOPS. Like I said, this is a decent enough knife for it's price.

Cool, but with major flaws

This light weight blade that Jason Brous designed is very cool. The finger holes can take some time to get used to though and the blade shape limits the overall design to certain tasks (not slicing). For the material and overall quality, the price is great. My biggest issue with this blade is the sheath and belt clip. The overall quality and design is great but there are major flaws in the design. First off the belt clip has too large of a gap. You'll notice the end of the clip does not touch the plastic sheath. The gap is so wide that a regular belt, be it nylon webbing or even leather, will have issues holding the sheath in place. I tried attaching the sheath to my belt so that it would sit on top of two layers of leather, over 1/4" thick and it seemed to solve the issue. Then came the second issue: the sheath itself. The retention was so tight, that as I was trying to pull the blade out, it would slide the sheath over, then sit against the belt buckle, continue to rotate my belt around my waist, yet still not be able to remove the blade. After repeated tries to solve this issue, I gave up and decided to return it. Blade steel is adequate for the price, overall fit and finish, including the sheath, is excellent, albeit with the major design flaw. This is unfortunate because I really like this blade. The design is interesting, I like the size and weight...but what use is a blade that I can't actually use? Please fix this SOG. Jason Brous deserves a better representation of his designs that shouldn't be brought down by issues with the sheath.
